My work highlights the immediacy of recentering user voices in the design of algorithmic systems, by treating feedback elicitation as a socio-technical design problem rather than a data-collection step.

That means designers of data-driven systems have to iteratively scaffold participants in co-design — building people's sense that they can actually contribute to shaping the data and the algorithms underneath, instead of assuming the capacity is already there.
